Schnucks announces new shopping hours for southwest Illinois stores and elsewhere
After we spring our clocks forward this weekend, Schnucks stores will add an hour to their schedules, starting next week.
Schnucks announced Friday that beginning Monday, March 14, stores will return to a 10 p.m. closing time, an hour later than previously scheduled.
Store hours for 103 Schnucks locations will be on a 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. schedule. Some stores will have alternate hours, including, Cahokia and several locations in Missouri and Indiana.
Most Schnucks deli, meat and seafood departments will be open to serve customers 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, also starting on Monday, according to the release. Some will open at 9 p.m. or close at 7 p.m.
Customers can verify store and department hours by location via the Schnucks website or the Schnucks Rewards mobile app.
“We know that as the days become longer and families begin to have more spring and summer activities, we’ll see the volume of shoppers return later in the evening,” Ted Schnuck, Executive Vice President, Supermarkets, stated in the release.
“With the return to a 10 p.m. close, along with longer service department hours for deli, meat and seafood, we are ensuring that we meet our customers’ needs with more options to shop for the products they love.”
In addition to extending regular store hours, Schnucks also announced that all stores will close for Easter on Sunday, April 17, so teammates can be with their families and loved ones. Stores will reopen at normal times Monday, April 18.
Schnucks will host a company-wide career fair 1-5 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at all stores, including the Schnucks Bakery Plant, according to the release.
There will be a variety of positions, mostly part-time to start, offering flexible schedules, career advancement, health benefits, tuition reimbursement, daily pay option and other perks. No experience is necessary.
