Caseyville picnic and fireworks set for Friday

The village of Caseyville is hosting a picnic and fireworks Friday. If it rains, the event will be Sunday.

There will be a washer tournament sign up at 2 p.m. and play will begin at 3 p.m. Call 618-407 8811 for more information.

The picnic opens at 5 p.m. with food, music and military artifacts and vehicles. Kids get a free photo of themselves in military attire. There will be inflatables for kids, as well as games for kids and adults.

At 7:15 p.m., there will be a corn on the cob eating contest. The first 50 will get a plaque. The entry fee is canned goods/dry goods or pet food.

Fireworks will start around 9 p.m. No personal fireworks will be allowed on the grounds.
