Salaries, wages for New Baden village employees added to BND Public Pay Database
The salaries and wages of New Baden village employees have been added to the Belleville News-Democrat’s Public Pay Database.

The highest earner in New Baden was Ronald Renth, the public works commissioner, who was paid $87,669.26 in total wages, according to records provided to the BND through a Freedom of Information Act request for the 2020-2021 fiscal year that ended on April 30, 2021.
Village Administrator Erika Heil was the second-highest earner, bringing in $82,316.95, the records show. Her last name was Kennett during the 2020-2021 fiscal year and that’s how it is listed in the database.
Police Chief Charles Mackin was just a cent behind Heil for the third highest position with total wages of $82,316.94.
The fourth highest earner was Lonny Broeckling, a public works employee, with $71,268.02 in total wages and the fifth-highest earner was Allen Gilbert, director of the ambulance department, with $71,244.65.
