Upcoming I-270 repairs could affect traffic. What to know before you hit the road

Upcoming repairs on Interstate 270 could affect traffic coming into Illinois from Missouri, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

During the road work, one lane of eastbound I-270 over the Mississippi River will be closed.

The work begins Monday and is expected to continue until Friday. The lane closure will happen from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, weather permitting, according to IDOT.

Drivers should also be aware that the entrance ramp from Riverview Drive in Missouri to I-270 eastbound will be closed during this time.

IDOT said work on westbound I-270 completed ahead of schedule, so there are no more lane closures in that direction.
