I-64 lane closures planned in St. Clair County for roadwork

Look for lane closures for roadwork beginning Tuesday on westbound Interstate 64 between Illinois 4 and Rieder Road in St. Clair County, the Illinois Department of Transportation has announced.

The right lane will be closed on Tuesday.

The lane closure will change to the left lane on Wednesday and end on Friday, weather permitting.

IDOT said the lane closures are necessary to allow crews to do deck repairs on the structure above Silver Creek and Little Silver Creek.

Motorists can expect delays and urged to consider alternate routes if possible.
