Monroe County woman, St. Louis man killed in crash near Millstadt

Two people were killed in a two-car crash on Douglas Road and Illinois 158 last Tuesday night.
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. identified the victims as Mary Kinsey, 49, of the 600 block of North Markey St. in Waterloo, and Daryl Maynor, 63, of the 3500 block of Bonsai in St. Louis. Both were pronounced dead at the scene at about 10:45 p.m.
According to Illinois State Police, one of the vehicles was traveling west on Illinois Route 158 near Douglas Road and failed to stop for a stop sign. The car struck a southbound vehicle in the intersection.
A passenger in the westbound car was ejected. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries, ISP said in a release.
The driver of the other vehicle also was killed.
A juvenile passenger was airlifted from the scene with non-life threatening injuries. Two other juveniles refused medical attention.
