Updated: Here’s a list of roads in southwest Illinois that remain closed due to flooding

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that some road closures remain in effect in the metro-east after heavy rainfall Tuesday.

Here is the list of roads that were still closed, according to a 1:43 p.m. update:

• Southbound Interstate 255 exit ramp to State Street in East St. Louis because of water on the pavement.
  
  
• St. Clair Avenue westbound from Illinois 111 (North Kingshighway) to 79th Street in Caseyville due to flooding.
• North 81st Street between Bunkum Road and Forest Boulevard in Washington Park due to flooding.
• Illinois 111 from State Street to St. Clair Avenue due to flooding.
