Suspects taken into custody in East St. Louis, after flourishing weapon in St. Louis

A group of suspects was taken into custody in East St. Louis on Friday after they flourished a gun during an argument in St. Louis, St. Louis police said.

During the early afternoon hours, St. Louis Police responded to the 4700 block of Maffitt Avenue “for an argument between known groups of people when the suspects flourished the other group with a gun,” said Schron Jackson of the St. Louis police department’s Public Information Division.

The suspects fled the scene, but officers were able to locate their vehicle and “monitored it until it crossed into Illinois,” Jackson said.

East St. Louis Police eventually apprehended three suspects, according to KMOV-TV.

Information on charges or names of people involved was not immediately available.
