Here’s the Sunday schedule for Midwest Salute to the Arts at Moody Park

The 34th annual Midwest Salute to the Arts continues at Moody Park in Fairview Heights today, with a full schedule of fun for the family.

Hours today, the last day of this year’s festival, are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Here is what’s in store:

Gesso Stage Entertainment:

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Dave Mendoza

  • 1:15-2:45 p.m. – Louis Michael

  • 3:15-5 p.m. – Mark Biehl

Art & Craft Demonstrations

Demonstrations by members of Artisan Guild of Southern Illinois, the Gateway Artists Guild and the Midwest Woodcarvers will take place during festival hours today.

Folks will be able to observe a variety of processes in different areas of art including potter, painters, jewelry designers, felters, paper makers, weavers and more. Feel free to ask the artists questions.

Children’s Entertainment:

  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Illustrator Randall Jason Spriggs - Cartoons for Kids

  • Noon – Marilyn & Larry Kinsella - Stories N’ Stones

Children’s Gallery and Creation Station

The Children’s Gallery offers kids-only shopping. Kids can buy art without grown-ups nudging them toward something they like. The cost to enter the gallery is $10 and is intended for kids ages 5-13. Hours for the gallery are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

The Children’s Creation Station will have the same hours as the gallery. This year’s activities include IllinoiSouth Tourism Mural Painting, whirly gigs, pool noodle monsters, fun hats, tissue paper streamers, Raising Cane’s coloring pages and build a spine project.

Feast in the Park

This year’s food vendors will include:

  • Nothing Bundt Cakes

  • D&T’s Ol Fashion Kettle Corn

  • Lillie’s & Dedo’s (Saturday and Sunday only)

  • Fantastick Pops (Sunday only)

  • Tong Phoon Thai Restaurant

  • Soulcial Kitchen

  • Wayno’s International Mobile Cuisine (Friday only)

  • Sour Puss Lemonade
