A Clinton County man died following a rollover crash of a car in Lebanon early Friday, authorities said.

Tyler Gartside, 27, of Breese was the victim, according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

Gartside was pronounced dead at 3:32 a.m. in the emergency room in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Dye said.

Lebanon Police Department Officer Kevin Harris said Gartside was driving eastbound in a 2017 Hyundai Sonata in the 200 block of West McAllister Street, which is also known as U.S. Highway 50, when the crash occurred at about 2 a.m.

Harris said no one else was in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
