The Belleville Chili Cook-Off continues. Here’s the schedule for Saturday

And the party carries on in downtown Belleville.

The 38th annual Chili Cook-Off festivities continue Saturday, kicking off with the Chili Chase 5K Run/Walk.

The 5K begins at East Main and Church streets at 9 a.m. The Kids Pepper Dash starts at 10:30 a.m.

And whether you’re a participant or an observer, you’re sure to build up an appetite (and thirst).

Luckily there’s plenty more chili (and beer) to be had. (Including the vegan kind — I’ve been informed that the Belleville Running Club serves a good one. Huzzah!)

Again, eat, drink, be merry and enjoy the party

Beast BBQ owner, David Sandusky, and Loren Osegura prepare and serve chili at the 38th annual Chili Cook-Off. Over 40 vendors live entertainment and more will be at this year’s event that continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in downtown Belleville. Sandusky said his chili features a lot of dried peppers and locally sourced ground beef and chorizo that is processed at Beast Butcher and Block.
