IDOT plans work on I-255 ramp

The ramp from northbound I-255 to westbound I-270 in Pontoon Beach is scheduled to be reduced to one lane, the Illinois Department of Transportation said.

The lane restriction is scheduled to go into place on Monday, weather permitting, IDOT said.

IDOT plans to paint the bridge carrying southbound I-255 over the ramp. Work is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31, IDOT said.
