Freeburg lifts water conservation request

The water conservation advisory for Freeburg residents has been lifted a day after it was announced.

Due to low water storage levels at a water plant caused by extremely cold weather, the village on Tuesday asked residents to conserve water but on Wednesday the request was lifted.

The water remains safe to drink and use and a boil water advisory was not issued.

Customers have been asked to report any loss of water pressure or leaks by calling 618-539-5545.
