Ice flow forces state to close two Illinois River ferries

The Kampsville and Brussels ferries have closed due to the ice flow in the Illinois River, the state Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

IDOT recommended motorists use the Joe Page Bridge in Hardin as an alternative.

This bridge is for motorists using Illinois 100 and Illinois 16.
