A $50K Powerball lottery ticket sold in southwest Illinois

A $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at a Collinsville convenience store, the Illinois Lottery announced ahead of the drawing for a $700 million jackpot Saturday night.

The $50,000 ticket was sold Wednesday at Casey’s General Store at 217 N. Bluff Road, according to a news release from Illinois Lottery.

A $50,000 ticket also was sold in Aurora this week.

These players matched four numbers and the Powerball.

“Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize,” the news release stated.

The numbers selected on Wednesday night were 31, 43, 58, 59, 66 and the Powerball was 9.

The next drawing will be at 9:59 p.m. Saturday.
