One person killed, another wounded in shooting in Washington Park. What we know

One person was shot to death and a second was wounded early Wednesday in Washington Park, authorities said.

The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Kingshighway near Adelaide Place, according to police officials.

Police received a report of the shooting about 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found two males with gunshot wounds. One was shot in the abdomen and the other in the head. Both were taken to St. Louis hospitals, where one of them died. The other victim was treated and released.

No identities of the victims have been released.

No motive for the shooting was immediately available.
