After a slight chance of storms Thursday, prepare yourself for a hot weekend
A slight chance of thunderstorms will hang over the metro-east Thursday.
The temperature will peak at about 89, according to the National Weather Service. Skies will be partly cloudy and the likelihood of rain stands at 20 percent.
Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 76.
The temperature will start to rise again Friday when the high is expected to reach 93 under mostly sunny skies.
It will be partly cloudy Friday night with a low of 75.
On Saturday and Sunday the high will hit 95. It will be mostly sunny Saturday and on Sunday there is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the day.
