One person seriously hurt in charter bus and sedan crash on I-55 in Madison County
One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a sedan and a charter bus on northbound Interstate 55 in Madison County Wednesday afternoon, Illinois State Police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was reported to be entrapped in the sedan before being rescued and taken to a hospital, according to a statement. The person’s condition was not available.
The crash, which is being investigated by by ISP Troop 8, occurred about 3:20 p.m. near milepost 9.
The right lane was closed during the incident and all lanes were reopened by approximately 4:31 p.m.
Additional information about the two-vehicle collision was not available.
