Granite City woman wins $100,000 on scratch-off lottery ticket
A Granite City woman has won a six-figure prize in the Illinois Lottery.
Jaime Prazma won $100,000 on a scratch-off ticket she bought at a Farm Fresh store in Granite City. “Twice a month, on payday, I treat myself to a lottery ticket,” Prazma said. “I never expected a payday like this!”
Prazma bought the ticket at Farm Fresh on Pontoon Road. She got into her car and scratched it, then realized she had won $100,000.
“When I saw how much I won, I signed the back of my ticket right away,” she said. She plans to put her winnings toward the purchase of a house.
The ticket was titled $10 Million Cash Bonanza, a $30 instant-win scratch-off ticket. Its three top prizes are $10 million. One $10 million prize ticket was purchased but has not been claimed; seven $1 million tickets also have gone unclaimed, according to the Illinois Lottery.
Farm Fresh will receive 1 percent of the ticket winnings, or $1,000.
