Look for lane closures over several weeks on Interstate 64 in St. Clair County

Commuters will face overnight lane closures for roadwork on Interstate 64 in St. Clair County beginning Monday night, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced.

One lane will be closed in each direction from Illinois 159 to Green Mount Road. The overnight closures are scheduled for 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. until the end of July.

The lane restrictions are necessary to allow for pavement repairs.

Christ Brothers of Lebanon is the contractor for the $1.3 million project.
