Renovations at a St. Clair County grocery store include new look, tech and other updates
A Schnucks grocery store in Cahokia Heights is getting a new look.
Starting this week, renovations begin at 1615 Camp Jackson Road to bring customers a “refreshed and remodeled store,” according to a press release.
Updates will be made to nearly every area of the 44,000-square-foot store and to every department, stated the release.
“Schnucks is committed to the Cahokia area and to serving all of our shoppers’ grocery needs,” Schnucks Cahokia Store Manager Brian Lomelino stated in the release. “Our teammates are excited and anxious to bring our customers a like-new store and improved shopping experience once the renovations are complete.”
New flooring, shelving décor and paint are part of the remodel. Energy efficient lighting updates will be made as well.
Customers will find new refrigeration cases in the produce, dairy and beer departments, according to the release. Updates will also be made in the deli, bakery and seafood areas.
This location will be one of the first to have electronic shelf tags. The store will also receive all new checkstands plus two additional self checkouts.
The store will remain open during the remodel, which is expected to be complete in early fall.
Schnucks Cahokia is located at 1615 Camp Jackson Road.
Hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday. CVS Pharmacy hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
