Water main break causes boil order in Caseyville. Here are the areas affected

Parts of the Village of Caseyville remain under a boil order as of Thursday morning.

According to Amie Grau with the village’s water and sewer department, the following locations remain under the boil order: All of Hollywood Heights area, Tanglewood Subdivision, Illinois 159, all roads off Bethel Mine Road between Illinois 159 and Carol Louise Drive and East/West Brookhaven Drive.

The boil order started Tuesday after a construction company working on the Dollar General on Illinois 159 hit the water main, Grau noted.

As of Thursday morning, no timetable was set for when the village would lift the boil order.

“We need to wait for the samples to come back clear,” Grau said.
