Two people seriously injured in crash on Interstate 55 near Troy. Here’s what we know
Two people were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries following an accident on Interstate 55 South near milepost 9.4 south of Troy early Saturday morning, according to the Illinois State Police.
At 3:58 a.m. Saturday, state police responded to a two-vehicle crash.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was flown to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to state police.
The road was closed during the crash investigation and reopened at approximately 6:14 a.m.
“No further information is available,” the ISP stated.
