The expected weekend closure on Martin Luther King Bridge has been canceled due to inclement weather in the forecast, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced today.

IDOT didn’t announce when the work would be completed.

The closure is necessary to accommodate deck sealing work and was expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, according to IDOT.
