Unidentified male shot multiple times, then set on fire in Cahokia Heights, according to authorities
An unidentified male was shot multiple times and set on fire Thursday in Cahokia Heights, according to a release from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.
The victim was pronounced dead at 5:27 p.m. at the scene on Pocket Road, said St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.
The person’s identity is unknown. The Major Case Squad release states he was an ``African-American male.”
The crime happened in the 5800 block of Pocket Road, the release states.
The Major Case Squad was activated at the request of the Cahokia Heights Police Department.
