Noodles & Co. coming to metro-east
The metro-east area’s first Noodles & Co. will open soon in Shiloh.
The Broomfield, Colo.-based chain of “fresh food fast” restaurants is advertising its coming arrival to Green Mount Crossing. The menu will feature an assortment of pastas, soups, salads and sandwiches. Stay tuned.
Casa Maria Mexican Restaurant has opened in downtown Belleville. It is the latest Mexican eatery to open at 100 N. High St., at the intersection of East A Street, where The Jug had served generations of Belleville-area diners before closing four years ago. You can call the new restaurant at 618-416-1337.
The Home of the Whopper is coming to Swansea. Burger King has announced plans to build a restaurant off Illinois 159 in the parking lot in front of Rural King. Jason Amarosa — the managing partner of the new Burger King — said the $2.4 million development could open by November. He also said he will have a staff of 25 to 35 people, including 30 full-time jobs.
The Bank of Edwardsville has opened its first branch outside of the metro-east. The new St. Louis Center opened earlier this month at 4700 S. Lindbergh Blvd. in South St. Louis County. The new branch specializes in commercial and mortgage lending, as well as wealth management.
Tony Smallmon of the Barber Murphy Group in Shiloh said that another pre-owned car dealership will soon reoccupy the recently vacated car lot in Swansea. The lot and 1,840-square-foot office building at 4501 N. Illinois St. has been sold to Premier Car Connection. Smallmon said it will be the second locale for the new owner, which already operates another metro-east lot at 9101 St. Clair Ave. in Fairview Heights. Federico Pre-owned Center left the Swansea lot earlier this month after less than three years in business. The new car lot is expected to move in by later next month.
Merger Self Storage in Maryville has recently become an U-Haul affiliate. The business at 13 Schiber Court has a new Ford moving van and provides dollies and moving blankets to accommodate clients’ relocation needs. Call 618-223-6183 for more information.
