Heavy rain possible throughout Monday

A flash flood watch has also been issued for the metro-east Monday as storms with heavy rain are possible.

A severe thunderstorm packing 60 mph winds passed through the metro-east during the morning hours. After a quiet period during the middle part of the day, there is a 50 percent chance of storms during the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature of 89. The Monday evening low will be 71.

Skies will be mostly sunny Tuesday with a high of 85. The low will be 63 Tuesday night when skies will be partly cloudy.

On Wednesday, it will be partly sunny with a high of 84.

The possibility of thunderstorms moves back into the weather picture Wednesday night when there is a 40 percent chance of wet weather. The low will be 65.
