9-year-old boy dies after two-vehicle collision in Cahokia Heights
A 9-year-old boy died after two cars collided Saturday on Illinois 3 at Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia Heights, according to Detective DeMarius Thomas of the Cahokia Heights Police Department.
The identity of the child was not released.
The Illinois State Police accident reconstruction unit processed the scene of the accident, Thomas said.
The initial investigation shows that a car collided and a Jeep collided as the car was turning onto Camp Jackson Road, Thomas said.
The boy was a passenger in the car.
