One person killed in two-vehicle crash near Troy, Illinois State Police say

One person died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on U.S. 40 near Illinois 162 near Troy in Madison County, Illinois State Police said.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The fatal crash occurred about 7:15 a.m., according to a news release from Illinois State Police.
Other details about the crash have not been released.
U.S. 40 was closed until 10 a.m. between Bethany Road and Illinois 162 while officers investigated the crash.
