Sporting goods retailer celebrates grand opening of new Fairview Heights outlet
Dick’s Sporting Goods Warehouse Sale outlet store is now open in Fairview Heights.
Located in the former Gordmans site, the new store has plenty of discounted apparel, outerwear, shoes and other items.
The warehouse outlet held a grand opening weekend Nov. 3-5.
There was a soft opening the previous week, store manager Amanda Tomasovich said Friday afternoon.
She said that customer traffic was steady all day Friday, the first day of the store’s grand opening weekend.
“It’ll be a busy Q4” with all of the promotions and discounts they offer, said Tomasovich.
Customers were welcomed with coffee and snacks as well as prize giveaways throughout the weekend.
The first 100 customers in line received gift cards to use towards purchases.
The store carries big name brands including Nike, Under Armor and Adidas.
Folks can also find camping gear, bicycle equipment, golf supplies and fan gear – they have a good selection of Cardinals merch right now.
Dick’s Sporting Goods Warehouse Sale is located at 81 Ludwig Drive in Fairview Heights. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
