Man hurt after tractor overturns, pins him on farm near Hecker

A man operating a large tractor on a Monroe County farm was hurt Wednesday afternoon when the tractor overturned on a hill and pinned him beneath it, Sheriff Neil Rohlfing confirmed.

Rohlfing said the man, whose identity was not released, was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in South St. Louis County with a broken arm. Rohlfing said the man was operating the tractor on a hill, but Rohlfing didn’t know precisely what caused it to overturn.

The incident occurred on property off Illinois 156 near the intersection with Prairie Du Long Drive, west of Hecker.
