What’s that new building going up on North Belt West in Belleville? Here’s what we know
There are always great things happening in Belleville and surrounding areas, and I’m often asked about some of the activity.
I get a lot of, “Hey, whatever happened to …?” “What’s going on at the old …?” What’s that new building at …?”
Today I answer a version of that last question: What’s that new building going up next to Crehan’s in Belleville?
You may have noticed the construction taking place between Crehan’s and Skyview Drive-In. (It’s hard to miss.)
The new building at 5510 North Belt West will be the site of a new ImmunoTek Plasma donation center.
Belleville’s City Council approved the project plans in November 2022.
At that council meeting, Mayor Patty Gregory stated that the facility will bring 40 new jobs to Belleville, consisting of medical lab technicians and doctors.
The project includes a 9,000-square-foot medical facility with a lot for 56 parking spaces on a roughly 2.4-acre lot.
Belleville Economic Development Director Clifford Cross said in a brief call that it may open in late March or early April.
The ImmunoTek website states that the new location is “Coming Soon” but does not include a date.
I left messages for the developer involved in the project and hope to learn more soon.
