Belleville Police Department locates man missing since March 13

Belleville police have located a man missing since last week at a Belleville business.

Jonathan J. Gagen, 31, had last been seen at the Walmart in Belleville about 1 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, according to a post on the Belleville Police Department Facebook page. In a follow up post Wednesday, police said Gagen was located in Wentzville, Missouri on Monday.

He “was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The department has confirmed today that Mr. Gagen’s information, recovery, and safety have been verified,” the post said.

Police said Gagen has been diagnosed with autism and mental health issues.

“The Belleville Police Department expresses its gratitude towards the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Gagen,” the Facebook post stated.
