O’Fallon man, 21, dead after weekend crash on Illinois 15

A 21 year-old O’Fallon man died Saturday night after the vehicle he was driving struck another vehicle, veered off the road and hit a pole.

Teagan D. Kelley, of the 1200 block of Greenfield Place, was identified by St. Clair County Corner Calvin Dye Sr. as the victim.

Kelley’s death was caused by blunt force trauma and he was pronounced dead in the emergency room of Touchette Regional Hospital at 8:11 p.m., Dye said.

Cahokia Heights Police received a call about the the crash at 7:36 p.m., Detective Demarius Thomas said. Kelley was driving a Honda Accord west on Illinois 15 when he struck an SUV. The 63-year-old driver of that SUV was not injured, Thomas said.

The Illinois State Police accident reconstruction team is investigating.
