Motorcyclist airlifted after collision with semi-truck in Madison County, police say
A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital with “serious injuries” after a crash with a tractor-trailer Tuesday near New Douglas in northern Madison County, Illinois State Police said.
The name of the person on the motorcycle was not released.
The crash involving a truck and motorcycle occurred at about 1:39 p.m. at the intersection of New Douglas and Ulrich roads, police said.
New Douglas Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dan Robertson said the intersection was closed until about 7 p.m.
No other information about the crash was released by Illinois State Police.
