Cooler temperatures arrive, expected through the weekend
Metro-east residents will finally get a break Thursday from a wave of hot and humid weather that was parked over the area earlier in the week.
The high will be 89 under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. That’s about two degrees cooler than the average high temperature of 91 for the end of July in the St. Louis area.
Skies will be clear with a low of 67 Thursday night.
It will be sunny Friday with a high of 90.
A slight chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for Friday night, when the low will be 67.
The weekend forecast call for sunny skies Saturday with a high of 88. A few clouds will move in Saturday night when the low will be 66.
On Sunday it will be mostly sunny and 88 during the day, with a low of 70 under mostly clear skies Sunday night.
