Sun, moderate temperatures for the weekend

On the last day of July, the metro-east will finally have a typical July day.

Skies will be sunny across the region Friday with a high temperature of 91, the average high for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

The low Friday night will drop to 68 under mostly clear skies.

It looks like it’s going to be a pretty nice weekend for a change, too.

The high Saturday will be 90 under mostly sunny skies.

Saturday night, the low will be 69 as a few clouds move into the area.

On Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 91.

Skies will be partly cloudy Sunday night with a low of 71.
