Don’t miss this: County gets the goat of residents
▪ St. Clair County Zoning Board of Appeals leaders have decided those in favor of keeping chickens and miniature goats in residential areas don’t have an egg to stand on. The proposal will go to the whole county board for final consideration with a negative recommendation.
▪ Shiloh police are trying to figure out who fired shots at a local tavern, The Hangar, late Monday and why they did it. One man was slightly injured in the attack.
▪ Another top official at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital has resigned. This time it’s Dr. Shelly Harkins, chief medical officer. She’ll leave to take a similar position with Beacon Health in Indiana.
▪ A woman with strong ties to Scott Air Force Base has been named the new commander of the 375 Air Mobility Group. Col. Laura Lenderman lived at the base when her father was stationed there in the 1980s and again from 2010-12 when she was an officer there. View the photo gallery of the change of command ceremony.
