Skies will clear up Thursday with pleasant temperatures

Had enough of the rain that soaked the metro-east Wednesday?

Cloudy skies are expected to clear up throughout the day Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. It will be mostly cloudy in the morning, eventually becoming mostly sunny.

The high temperature will top out at 83. That’s about five degrees cooler than normal for this time of year in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 65.

It will be mostly sunny Friday with a high of 84. Friday night skies will be mostly clear with a low of 66.

The weekend will get off to a good start in the metro-east. But rain could be back in the picture later.

It will be mostly sunny during the day Saturday when the high will be 87. But a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast Saturday night when the low will be 71.

The chance of storms will increase to 40 percent Sunday with a high of 91 and an overnight low of 73.
