A Fairview Heights gas station and convenience store will soon close. Here’s what we know
An area Casey’s store, located at 5715 Old Collinsville Road in Fairview Heights, is closing.
Notices posted on the door, windows and some inside displays alert customers that the store will close effective April 2. Inventory is available at discounted prices, with exceptions that include alcohol, lottery and multiple specific brands of goods.
The notice included a message to customers stating, “We want to thank you for your support and look forward to see(ing) you at our surrounding locations!!!”
The reasons for the closing were not immediately available. The manager on duty was not officially able to provide information other than to confirm that April 2 is the store’s last day.
An inquiry sent to Casey’s media relations did not get an immediate response.
This closing appears to be limited to this location. Casey’s General Stores Inc.’s Q3 2025 financial report, released earlier this month, states that the company expects to add around 270 new stores for the fiscal year.
The nearest store to the Fairview Heights location is at 504 Hartman Lane in O’Fallon. Other area Casey’s locations include Belleville, Lebanon, Mascoutah and Troy.
Casey’s General Stores Inc. announced in September 1997 plans to build six stores in the metro-east, including the Old Collinsville Road location. It opened in fall 1998.
