IDOT plans work along Illinois 159 in Collinsville

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to reduce Illinois 159 to one lane of traffic from Johnson Street to Wickliffe Street in Collinsville from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, weather permitting.

The lane reduction is required to place the asphalt surface on Illinois 159, IDOT said.

One-way traffic will be maintained using flaggers and traffic control devices, IDOT said.

Delays are expected, so IDOT asks people to plan accordingly and use additional caution when traveling near and throughout the work zone.
