One person dies after metro-east crash, police say

One person has died after a two-vehicle crash in Highland, the police chief announced Tuesday.

The victim’s name has not been released.

The crash occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Sunday on Veterans Honor Parkway at Michael Road, according to a news release from Highland Police Chief Carole Widman.

“No further details are available at this time,” Widman said in her statement. “Updates will be provided if appropriate.”

Widman said her department is working with the Metro East Crash Assistance Team to investigate the crash.
