Bill Crispin, 67, has been missing from Grand Manor Senior Living Center in Swansea since Saturday afternoon.
Bill Crispin, 67, has been missing from Grand Manor Senior Living Center in Swansea since Saturday afternoon.

A 67-year-old man remains missing after appearing to have wandered away from an assisted living facility in Swansea.

Swansea Deputy Chief of Police, Keith Howard, said the search for Bill Crispin is still ongoing.

Crispin, described as a white male, balding on top with silver hair and glasses, was last seen Saturday around 3 p.m. near Grand Manor Senior Living Center, 58 Frank Scott Pkwy, a block east of Illinois 159.

He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans in the area of Frank Scott Parkway and North Illinois, according to a police department release.

Police do not suspect foul play, Howard said.

A number of police agencies are working together in the search, including the St. Clair County Search and Rescue and multiple fire and police departments, Howard said. They are searching an area within about a mile-and-a-half radius of Grand Manor, he added.

The search was suspended Sunday night due to darkness, then resumed on Monday.

“We have no other leads,” Howard said.

Police are asking residents in the area to check home security and doorbell cameras for possible footage of Crispin. Howard said it could help police determine in which direction he may be traveling.

Tips should be called into Swansea Police immediately by calling 618-233-8114.
