Business briefing: Restaurant on the Landing under new ownership

Hannegan’s Restaurant & Pub at Laclede’s Landing has been sold and will soon be renamed and remodeled.

The St. Louis Business Journal reports that new owners Jake Sides and Jason Spring purchased the restaurant at 719 N. Second St. about two weeks ago. They plan to rename their new eatery The Penalty Box and will redesign the dining room with a sports theme.

Target is making more moves following its consumer debit and credit card breach more than a year ago. The latest change by the big-box retailer is promoting Chief Financial Officer John Mulligan to the newly created role of chief operating officer. Mulligan will oversee stores, supply chain and properties effective Sept. 1. Cathy Smith will replace Mulligan as CFO. Read more here.
