IDOT to carry out work along Illinois 127 in Carlyle
The Illinois Department of Transportation said beginning Wednesday, lane closures are scheduled to be in place at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Illinois 127 in Carlyle.
These closures are expected to take place daily between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. The work is required to perform pavement repairs.
IDOT Supervising Field Engineer Steve Putz said the work is slated to place from the McDonalds, north of the intersection, to Carlyle High School, south of the intersection.
The traffic signals will be on flash with flaggers directing traffic through the intersection, IDOT said.
Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed by Aug. 31.
