Bhavik Patel, co-owner of the store, told the Illinois Lottery that he first thought someone was pranking him when he got a call saying Royals Liquor had sold a multi-million dollar ticket.

“I’m still in shock but very excited that someone won that much money,” Patel said in the news release. “Customers are starting to hear that we sold the winning ticket, and I’m sure the store will be buzzing with excitement by the end of the day.”
