Easter is coming up Sunday, April 5, and you may want to check which Belleville-area grocers will be open for any last-minute eggs, candy or other needs on your shopping list.

You can expect your Easter grocery bill to be higher than last year’s, as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports grocery costs are up 2.4% from February 2025 to February 2026, the most recent month for which data is available. Non-alcoholic beverages have seen the steepest increase at 5.6%, while fruits and vegetables are up 2.7%.

One popular Easter item, eggs, are faring better pricewise, with significant cost relief compared to last year.

All Aldi stores, including Belleville’s location, will be closed for Easter Sunday.

Sam’s Club

The Sam’s Club in O’Fallon will be closed for Easter.

Schnucks

All Schnucks stores, including the location at 800 Carlyle Ave. in Belleville, will close for Easter.

Target

The Target store at Belleville Crossing will be closed for Easter.

Total Wine & More

Total Wine & More in Fairview Heights will be open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Easter Sunday.

Walmart

The Walmart at 2608 Green Mount Commons Drive in Belleville will be open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Easter Sunday.
