Breese woman found dead in East St. Louis was ‘loving mother’ of five
The family of a Breese woman who was reported missing before her body was found in East St. Louis are remembering her as a “loving mother.”
Jennifer Nicholson, 44, is survived by five children, according to her obituary posted Wednesday by the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
“Jennifer will be remembered as a loving mother who thought the world of her children,” her obituary states.
A visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Moss Funeral Home at 535 N. Fifth St. in Breese.
Nicholson was reported missing Saturday to the Breese Police Department after family members had not heard from her for about two weeks, according to Police Chief Mark Berndsen
Nicholson’s body was found on Monday at 1120 N. 11th St., and she was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m., St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye said.
Results of an autopsy are pending, Dye said Wednesday.
Illinois State Police agents are investigating Nicholson’s death but the agency has not released details of the case.
