A Wednesday morning fire has destroyed a single-family house in Collinsville.

State Park Fire Department Chief Mike Mason said firefighters were dispatched to the 2900th block of Princeton Street at 10:07 a.m. As of early afternoon, firefighters were still battling the blaze.

No serious injuries were reported, Mason said.

A Facebook post from the St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency said Fairmont City Fire Department, Caseyville Fire Department and French Village Fire Department also responded. A BND reporter observed Madison Fire Department and Long Lake Fire Department were also on scene.
