Belleville man killed, five injured in crash on Illinois 13
A Belleville man died and five other people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Sunday night on Illinois Route 13 near Red Ray Mine Road in Freeburg, Illinois State Police said.
Trooper Ryan Wagand said five people were taken to local hospitals with injuries after police responded to the crash at about 6:40 p.m. The road reopened at about 11:41 p.m.
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. identified the man who died as 39-year-old Dustin Dontigney of the 200 block of South Belt West in Belleville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wagand said the crash remains under investigation and no further information was available.
